Information the App processes

• Your settings. The pet you chose, its name, size and outfit, behaviour switches, reminder intervals, focus timer lengths, your list of distracting sites and the sites where you turned the App off are saved with Chrome’s storage. If Chrome Sync is on in your browser, Chrome syncs these settings between your own devices through your Google Account under Google’s Privacy Policy; we never receive them.
• Your pet’s life. Its food, mood and energy, experience points, a few counters (how often it was fed, petted or played with) and the state of the focus timer are kept only in this browser’s local extension storage.
• What the pet notices on a page. To move and react, the App looks at where the mouse is and where links, pictures, text fields and playing videos are on the screen, and notices that you are typing, selecting or copying something or that a password field is focused (to hide its eyes). It never reads what you type, passwords, the text or addresses of pages, or what you copy. This is used on the spot in your browser and is never recorded, stored or sent.

The App does not require an account and does not collect your name, email address, browsing history, the content of the pages you visit or any other personal information. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.

Browser permissions

Chrome lists these permissions when you install the App. You can remove the App at any time on the chrome://extensions page, which also removes everything it has stored.

• Read and change data on all websites — your pet has to be able to live on every site. The App only adds the pet, its speech bubbles and toys to the page; it does not read, collect or send what is on it.
• Storage — saves your settings and your pet’s life in your browser.
• Alarms — schedules the stretch and water reminders and the focus timer you turn on.
• Scripting — right after installing, brings your pet to tabs that are already open, so you don’t have to reload them.

How we use information

• Show the cursor, trail and click effect you choose on the pages you open
• Remember your settings, favorites and the cursors you upload
• Reply to your support requests, if you write to us

We do not sell, share or transfer any information, and we do not use it for anything other than the App’s single purpose: replacing your mouse cursor.

Third-party services

The App makes no network requests of its own and uses no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking services. It does not load or run any remote code.

Tracking and advertising

The App does not track you, does not read or record the pages you visit or what you type, and contains no advertising.

Data retention

Settings and uploaded cursors stay in your browser until you change or reset them, delete an uploaded cursor, or remove the App. We do not store anything on servers.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email us — we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Security

All data stays in Chrome’s storage for this extension on your devices; other websites and extensions cannot read it. If you email us, your message is kept in our mailbox only as long as needed to help you.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be announced in the App’s Chrome Web Store listing and on this page.
